The variety of the workshops being offered is just amazing. This list is not the complete list. There is still time to suggest your own workshop.

Penguin Marionette Make and Take
Kurt Hunter                        
In this workshop, each participant will be assisted in building their
own three string penguin marionette using simple materials. They will
customize their marionettes and learn how to manipulate them.
 
Studying with Lotte Reiniger
Nancy Henk                        
Nancy shares memories of studying with Lotte Reiniger, learning her
method of stop-motion animation using silhouettes. Student films made
at this workshop and selections from “The Adventures of Prince Achmed”
will be shown.
                
Pantin-French Jumping Jacks

Take our students to a time of simpler amusements. Choose from one of
six designs to make. 
 
Silk Painting & Puppetry
Heidi Pearson-Shackleford        
Join Heidi Pearson-Shackleford as she introduces you to the medium of
silk painting. This workshop will show samples of hand painted silk,
discuss the pros/cons of using silk in your puppet productions and
demonstrate the method.
 
Puppet Skits for Schools & Libraries
Joann Schroeder                
Participants learn how to use puppets to present children's books,
stories and songs. Performances include Brown Bear, Little Red Hen, and
Henny Penny & much more with children involved in the presentation.
 
Sculpting a Realistic Head
Jim Rose                        
You will have the opportunity to use some of the very plasticene used
by Margo Rose. I will coach and show diagrams to aid in achieving a
basic, realistic head.
 
Marionette Mistakes (What Not to Do)
Kurt Hunter                   
In this workshop, the most common mistakes made by first time
marionette builders will be explained. Various approaches to remedying
the mistakes will be explained and demonstrated.
 
Exploring Marionette Movement

In a relaxed, playful atmosphere, concentration and observation will be
the focus as participants work with very simple marionettes using
exercises based on techniques developed by Albrecht Roser
 
Tips for Starting PIP Program

Tips for starting a Puppeteers in Progress or Junior Troupe. Find
talented youth, work with them, and keep them around.
 
Puppetry 2.0; Taking Your Shows Online

Puppetry 2.0 is a discussion about creating puppet shows for the web,
and how to best take advantage of the tremendous power of the net to
connect with your audience.
 
Hang It All; Ingenious Rod Puppets for Classroom Setting

Make and use simple puppets made from hangers for student performance
projects.
